NITAG recommendations

7 January 2024

February 7, 2024: Update on dengue vaccination by the NIP Recommend observing for 30 minutes after vaccination for those with a history of allergy and 15 minutes for other vaccinees, regardless of the type of dose. In case of non-severe hypersensitivity reactions after the first dose, perform clinical evaluation on a case-by-case basis for the possibility of assisted administration of the second dose. Avoid concurrent administration with other vaccines: inactivated virus vaccines can be administered 24 hours later and for live virus vaccines, wait four weeks. Reinforce compliance with the protocol for managing cases of hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis in health facilities that administer vaccines. Communicate the Technical Note simultaneously among related agencies and institutions: ANVISA, CONASS, CONASEMS.
