COVID-19 and influenza

  • Unify the indications for both vaccines, COVID-19 and influenza, in pediatric age up to 4 years inclusive and in older adults from 65 years of age. In addition to Health Personnel, pregnant women and people from 5 to 64 years of age with risk factors.

  • The technical recommendation was made considering the morbidity and mortality due to both diseases and should be accompanied by concrete actions for its implementation and the achievement of vaccination coverage goals.

  • Promote adequate communication of this strategy and work on the community's perception of risk regarding the morbidity and mortality of both diseases.

Triple viral vaccine (MMR)

  • Reduce the age of the second dose to 18 months.

  • Apply vaccination strategies for the recovery of schedules, in order to close immunity gaps.

  • Taking into account the recommendations and the high risk of reintroduction of measles and rubella in the country, it is proposed to review the possibility of lowering the age of the second dose of the triple viral vaccine

CoNaIn recommends moving forward with the modification of the CNV by lowering the age of application of the second dose of SRP to 15-18 months. It suggests promoting actions to increase vaccination coverage of the first and second doses, reinforce the Epidemiological Surveillance of the EFE and move forward with the recovery of schemes to close gaps in each age cohort.
