NITAG held an extra meeting to discuss the purchase of hexavalent vaccines for inclusion in the vaccination schedule. With the technical opinion of the NITAG and the references presented, the Minister approved the inclusion of the vaccine.

The operating manual of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices was reviewed and needs to be updated since there has been a change in the organizational chart of the Ministry of Health. The recommendations for vaccination in patients with chronic diseases should be updated.

BCG vaccine application starting at 2,000 grams. Application of hepatitis B vaccine starting at 2,000 grams and vaccinate up to 24 hours of age, preferably before 12 hours of age. Personnel in neonatology units should have a complete vaccination schedule for indirect protection.
